Haute Factor: James Jeans

Published by hauteness under Uncategorized Edit This

These days jeans are alleged to be the one wardrobe essential must-have. I’m of the humble opinion that people use jeans a little TOO much – more like a crutch than a staple. Even so, I love a great fitting jean. That’s the key: the fit!

Popular brands like Seven For All Mankind , Paige Denim and True Religion are great, but not for everyone. I, personally, am quite curvy, Rubenesque if you will. So Seven jeans stopped accentuating my positives a while ago. But then I found JAMES JEANS! All caps because I want to scream it from the peaks of every mountain.

L.A. clothing designer Seun Lim created James Jeans slimming by eschewing trendy top stitching and concentrating on the manipulation of subtle details to present a leaner, meaner silhouette. All styles feature designer Seun Lim’s signature slash-corner pockets and strategic fading that lengthen the leg, lift the butt, and make you look slimmer and trimmer in comfort.

What does that mean for you? Those jeans fit near PERFECTLY and a perfect fit is haute. They’re pricey – but when you consider the quality and that they will stay true to the way you bought them: you get what you pay for. Cheap jeans may be cute for a night, but wash em once – and they’re dead. Learn from my mistakes and invest in your style!

A couple of weeks ago I purchased the below style and <3 them.

Some celebs that swear by James Jeans also are: Jennifer Lopez, Brittany Murphy and Jessica Simpson (2 out of 3 are known to have mucho curve factor)

Added bonus: T400 technology. If you don’t know about it – read up on it. In a nutshell it’s the answer to providing stretch without sacrificing quality and design!

A few more styles featuring T400 that are pretty haute!

The Haute Factor

Published by hauteness under Uncategorized Edit This

This morning I rose and realized something. I started this blog nearly a year ago. Since then I’ve had many hopes for directions that it could go. The possibilities are really infinite – if only the past year of my REAL LIFE had allowed for that. There’s no time like the present.

For the remainder of this month I’ll be introducing new features on Single in L.A. All I need from you is feedback. Like it? Hate it? Can’t live without it? Tell me by leaving a comment or contacting me.

Over the course of this year I’ve received a lot of questions about who I am: What do you look like? Will you post pictures of yourself? Blah. Blah. Blah. Well guess what??? Surprise! I won’t be posting any pictures of myself. Sorry to disappoint

Single in L.A. is about a girl’s life in Los Angles, what she does with her friends, where they go, their misadventures, trying to build a career and possibly finding love while doing so. Really, I’ve discovered that my tales are simply the tales of many an L.A. girl – with a Haute twist. So posting a gaggle of my personal pictures would oversimplify the point. The Joie de Vivre would be missing.

Fret not mon amis. This past weekend I caught up on The Rachel Zoe Project. Now, previous to watching this marathon I kind of couldn’t stand Rachel Zoe – but I clearly had the wrong impression. That woman KNOWS her fashion and really has such a clearly defined style aesthetic – who can hate on that? Not me. In one of the episodes she said something that really resonated for me: Your style is how you introduce yourself to the world – without ever saying a word. Aha!

So, tomorrow I’ll introduce a new feature to Single in L.A.: The Haute Factor. It’ll feature fashions, of course, that I either recently purchased, want to purchase, am fantasizing about or that I’ve simply had enough of and wish to see banished to the ends of the Earth.

Either way – I’m listening to your comments, questions and requests. The Haute Factor is just one answer – stay tune!

Social Hiatus: Day One

Published by hauteness under Uncategorized Edit This

Yesterday I revealed that I’d be taking the month of April as a “Social Hiatus” here on the blog. I need that time to write more (both blogging and for screen), organize my life and just REST. I even put it in my status on Facebook - my friends are none too happy. But as soon I hit submit…

It would appear that I told a little white lie. Not intentionally, of course. A really close friend of mine will be deploying to Afghanistan on Thursday morning.  And tonight we’ll be at Rush Street bidding her “see you later” (I wouldn’t dare say f**ewell)

Afghanistan

This will be her 3rd dessert tour. The last time she was in Iraq for nine months I was SICK the entire time (I have problems with anxiety). So I’d say the Social Hiatus will have to wait until April 2nd. I mean, she’s going to fight for our country in 120 degree weather for goodness sakes! Forgive me?
