Don’t take that the wrong way. I’m not a hubby chaser – I don’t crave other women’s men. Not normally. Boris is far from normal!

For years I, like many woman with the gift of sight, ogled over the chiseled goodness that is actor/model Boris Kodjoe. However, once it became apparent that he and then Soul Food co-star Nicole Ari Parker were a pair, my crush waned. The pair married in 2006.

HBO Series Soul Food

I set my sights only on the attainable - crush on Boris gone.

Leave it to People magazine to breathe new life into an old fantasy. Boris and Nicole were featured in the January 19th issue of People (which featured the tragic death of John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s son). They offered a revealing look into the struggle and triumphs associated with their daughter’s, Sophie, Spina Bifida.

What reignited the flame, you ask? Well, they had pictures. Swoon. But really for him to speak with strength and admiration for his wife and children…beautiful! When speaking of meeting his wife on the set of the HBO series Soul Food he said “it was definitely energy at first sight.” Don’t you find energy much more refreshingly honest than “love?” I don’t really believe you can love someone at first sight. But you can definitely experience an indescribable feeling.

Kodjoe also spoke adoringly of his children, Sophie and Nicolas.

As I get older the hot guy that’s all about the gym, extravagant gifts and outings and jumping lines at the hottest clubs becomes less and less attractive. Now, a man that can be all of those things AND head a household? HOT!

Boris Kodjoe just wrapped production on Surrogates, also starring Bruce Willis and Ving Rhames. Nicole Ari Parker can next be seen alongside Eddie Murphy in Imagine That.
