Single in L.A.

I have a very, very close friend that simply loves Common. I mean, we talk about him in every 3^rd conversation…at least. I’m certain that if he walked right up to her on a sunny Saturday in Sunset Plaza and spit a few lines from his “I Want You” she might just melt all the way down to Doheny. More than likely, though, she’d say “It’s about time, I’ve been want you” and they’d rid off into the sunset. Eh…maybe not. Because the one day she ran into him at Crunch she was so shocked all she could say was “hey.”

Conscious rapper/actor Lonnie “Common” Lynn Jr. made his acting debut with 2006’s Smokin’ Aces not long after ending his relationship with quirky singer Erykah Badu.

Rumors have buzzed about regarding a possible low-key pairing with he and tennis star Serena Williams for quite a while now. My sources say they’re just “cut buddies,” nothing serious. I just learned that “cut buddy phrase.” Colorful.  I’ll keep it.

Take that with a grain of salt though. Unless there are cameras or third parties present, it doesn’t hold water with me. So until something is confirmed Common is living single.

Common’s latest musical effort Finding Forever was released last year. He’s currently filming Terminator Salvation alongside my crush of the day Christian Bale.
