“Sex and the City”: It’s that time!

All over Facebook, Myspace and the WEB in general you’ll find these quizzes trying to label you as one character from the show or another. Being as well versed in everything SATC as I am, I know that I cannot be labeled. Many will tweak their answers so that they come up as their favorite character. LAME!
Funny thing is: every time I am revealed as someone different. On Facebook I’m Carrie. On the Glamour mag pole I came up as MIRANDA??? LOL! I’d never fancy myself a Miranda, though she has wonderful qualities. Or maybe I am?
Here’s a little breakdown of my SATC Character History:
In college – I was astute and driven (very no holds barred), but flirty and free at the same time. Drinking, partying, dating and, uh “loving.” Perfect mix of a little Samantha and Miranda.

After college – I went through a live and let live and just BE phase. Fashion wise I’m always pretty consistent but I went through an “I don’t want to match because that’s not Haute” phase. I was very decidedly Carrie.

These days - Hmmm. As far as my fashion, style, sense and sensibilities go I am dead on Charlotte. I have a tendency to be prim and proper (always have). I do teas at The Four Seasons and fall in “like” easily if the right everything-looks-good-on-paper gent comes along. But idealistically I am Carrie at my very core. I mean, I love a good martini at a hot new restaurant (or lounge) opening (and not stand in line – Carrie would never do lines). Most of all I’m eternally flying by the cuff of my Marc Jacobs trousers (you know, the ones with the pink pinstripes?) Carrie is so undeniably human; it’s her most endearing quality.

Anyway we all know the movie is premiering on Friday. True “Sex and the City” fanatics are going to tomorrow’s midnight show. But me? I’m going to see the movie TONIGHT at a special screening on Warner Brother’s lot!
Tune in tomorrow for the premiere of my weekly column “Of the Single Opinion” debuting with my personal take on the film that many are shaking in their Louboutins and waiting with Cosmopolitan tinged baited breath to see.

B,
You are fabulous. I love reading these. I can’t wait for the movie to come out. You gotta get the soundtrack, it’s the bomb!
I love Sex & The City. I’m hoping to go see the movie myself this weekend.
